154. Leadership and Femininity

Ep. 154 – You might be surprised by this title. I don’t think I talk much about feminine leadership traits or women in leadership and so forth, although I do coach a lot of women on specific topics such as being the only woman or working in a male-dominated environment.
One of the things that prompted me to record this episode is that there are a lot of older books around the topic of leadership that were written through a masculine lens. I wanted to quickly talk about this because sometimes we refer back to these books and they’re classics and they’re great, but we can’t forget the fact that they were written in a very different business context and at a time when leadership looked very different than it needs to look today.
In this episode of The Manager Track podcast, I will help you differentiate masculine and feminine traits, the roles they play for both men and women, and why you should be embracing your feminine traits in the workplace.
